❓ Many of these enquiries had recurring questions, so I thought it would be good to create this Frequently Asked Questions post to answer these points. 👥 To get answers to these questions, I attended the Shinty Club's consultation event in Bothwell Community Hub on 29th July.

The only SNP majority that we've ever had was the result of a high constituency and high regional vote.

🏦 With many banks closing (including here in the ward), Post Offices let you access cash. ✉️ You can withdraw/deposit cash & cheques for most UK bank accounts at Uddingston & Bothwell Post Offices Monday to Saturday. 📋 You can also handle some DVLA/Passport Office forms — and can even post a letter

Smashing night in Bellshill at Steven Bonnar's candidate adoption night! Stevie's a true local guy and was the first person to welcome me into the constituency when I returned to Lanarkshire. He's represented the area on NLC and in Westminster. Let's add Holyrood to that list on May 7th! #voteSNP

🌍 Only 9 of the world's 200 or so countries allow greyhound racing. I'm pleased as of this week Scotland and Wales have removed ourselves from that list (and Aotearoa / New Zealand are in the process of doing the same)

🦴 The speed of a greyhound is an impressive sight but they're such delicate creatures with thin skin and easily breakable bones.

🐾 That face when your athletic career is over before it's even begun. 🛑 My 40mph couch potato and I are very happy that Mark Ruskell's Bill has passed and Scotland will join the vast majority of nations around the world who have banned greyhound racing.

Sid spoke of his experience, his continuing worries despite a ceasefire, and proposed a motion on behalf of Scottish Asians for Independence, which passed by acclaim, calling for a change to procurement rules to prevent the purchase of goods or services linked to illegal settlements.

Personally, I'm proud that on a number of occasions I have stood up to Labour as they take decisions in SLC that make working conditions worse for our thousands of employees that deliver vital services across South Lanarkshire.

Despite Westminster controlling employment legislation, it's the SNP that has took up the mantle as the party of working people. It is the SNP who are delivering what workers are asking for in the Scottish Parliament and in the councils we control.

🚌 The guidance used to assess ‘safe’ walking routes to school is over 20yrs old and not fit for purpose — it doesn't even require a pavement. ❌ Labour have used that document to remove school transport from over 8,000 kids. 🟡 Today we brought a motion requesting a local review. 🥀 They blocked it.

We have submitted an urgent business request to discuss Labour’s cuts to school transport at the Executive Committee meeting this morning. We demand that Councillors have a chance to scrutinise the final details of the cuts before they are introduced - this may be the last opportunity.

Extremely disappointed to see Labour effectively fabricating figures and quoting me as a source. When my (simple, full election, not a by-election prediction) model had Labour narrowly ahead of the SNP, I was not yet showing Reform figures. I have never published anything with these exact figures.
A Scottish Labour advert stating that "Reform Can't Win Here" and quoting fabricated Ballot Box Scotland figures with Labour on 36%, the SNP on 35% and Reform on 15%. I have never published such figures.

Today's life management – getting Control Centre organised on my phone. Frequent controls on page 1, then a page each for downstairs/upstairs smart tech. Only annoyance is that there's no IF statements in Apple Shortcuts so my work phone line on/off can't be one button. #tech #Apple #PhilipsHue

Sweltering day to rally for a republic on Calton Hill, Edinburgh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿's tradition of popular sovereignty is much older than the Windsor rule of these islands. It was devastating to hear this morning that Christina McKelvie MSP had passed away. She was an absolute gem. Even when I was just some wee guy in the party, she always made every interaction feel like a real conversation, not the usual political patter. My thoughts are with Keith, Jack and Lewis.

We are once again talking about "welfare" instead of social security. "Welfare" individualises state support, when what the UK built in the post-war years was a social security system which served our common endeavour. "Welfare" is the language of tabloids; it should not be the language of Labour.
