12 layoffs at the Herald-Leader today, including myself. I'll say more later, but the support I've gotten from the city I am so proud to call home has been life changing. All I've wanted to do since moving to Lexington is serve the city well - you all have, I think, really helped me achieve that.

A tanker exploded this week in Mooresville, NC. The company that owned it has a history of leaks, inappropriately storing toxic chemicals and inadequate emergency planning. @lisasorg.bsky.social published an investigation in March on Brenntag's Durham plant, too, linked in my story.
