Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 11/09/2026As someone who works in AI alongside some of the smartest folks in the industry - none of whom are ringing the same alarm bells - this tweet couldn’t be more spot on. “AI Doomerism” and “AI Boomerism” are two sides of the same coin and they’re both irresponsible in different ways. 1238
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 06/04/2025Today was a special day. I got to visit Amedi, where the Three Wise Men were living when they visited Jesus in Bethlehem. I'm truly not a religious person by any means but being able to visit historical places as such was still impactful for me. What an amazing place Iraqi Kurdistan is ♥️ 130
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 27/03/2025If I'm going to use travel advisories as my guideline for trips to book, maybe I should stop waiting until the last minute to check the visa requirements? 060
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 02/02/2025Why is it that my favorite photo I’ve taken in Kraków is from a cheap disposable film camera? It makes me wonder if the sharper digital images - especially post-processed ones - distract us from the purpose of a photo, which is to enjoy the subject and scenery. 040
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 27/01/2025Still decompressing from attending the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Words cannot express how moving the ceremony was. 040
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 09/01/2025Completed A1.1 of Polish today 🙌 It's my third language that I'm picking up and I'm hoping it won't be the last. Being able to say that I can speak with fluency in three different languages as a person who was born deaf is something I aspire to achieve, so hopefully this progress continues 🙏 130

Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 31/12/2024Important: if you hold temporary or permanent residency in Mexico 🇲🇽, do not use the e-gates in the airports! They automatically give you an FMM and cancel your residency process, and no one wants to deal with INM to fix these issues. I repeat, Mexico’s airport e-gates are not for residents! 130

Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 06/12/2024A lot of "top places to live for expats" are problematic in that they largely prioritize criteria that are more suitable for digital nomads and/or retirees, but I can say from the months of research I completed, this version pulled by Mercer is a lot more spot on. www.mercer.com/insights/tot...mercer.comQuality of Living City Ranking 2024Mercer’s quality of living data assesses the practicalities of daily life for international assignees and their families in assignment locations worldwide. 120
Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 04/12/2024Aside from the problematic term of "expat", I feel that these rankings need to be split out by those retiring abroad vs. those moving abroad and needing to rely on local jobs. I have a feeling that the lists would look significantly different from each other. www.forbes.com/sites/laurab...forbes.comRanked: The 25 Best Cities To Live In The World, According To ExpatsWhat are the best cities to live in the world? Caitlin Johnson @caitlindziuba.com · 19/11/2024Finally booked my first vacation since New Years Day of 2022. Yes, I have a *lot* of catching up to do, and I suspect 2025 will be the year for such ✈️🗺️ Without further ado, does anyone have tips on where to eat in Istanbul? Looking for anything in between hole-in-the-wall and Michelin-rated places. 560
