Reading the press on Apple's supposed AI "letdown/failure" at WWDC & I think OpenAI and Perplexity have effectively broken the tech press' brains. I thought yesterday's announcements were a huge AI win for Apple precisely *because* they didn't mention Siri at all. And I don't say this as a fanboy.

There are whole movies that don’t have the twists and turns of this paragraph.

Since the eighties, LuPone has been based in Connecticut. Years ago, she and Johnston got a flock of chickens and named them Marilyn, Rita, Eartha, Foghorn Leghorn, and the Fabulous Miller Sisters (Pia, Alexandra, and Marie-Chantal). All but three were massacred in a raccoon attack. "It was horrific," LuPone said. "There was blood and feathers and guts all over the place when my husband heard me screaming. He came down in this Victoria's Secret underwear, barefoot. We looked in the hen hut, and there was the raccoon, basically looking at us, going, I ain't finished.'"

Really enjoyed getting to spend the day visiting Jefferson Park. The parrots even came to visit ☺️

Eight green parrots are sitting on a while fire escape, four on the rails and four on the steps. The right-most parrot on the steps is starting to take flight, flourishing their wings.

A bumble bee is sitting on a flower with its wings shining in the sunlight. The camera is focused on the bee, but grass is visible out of focus around her.

A finch sitting on a branch, looking at the camera. The finch has a white belly with black pattering along its back.

A large tree branch frames the view of a building, with large green shrubs sitting along the bottom.

Did you know the “weekend” and working only 8 hours per day used to be considered a radical, liberal idea? 139 years ago today, in Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 7 workers (including a 13 yo) lost their lives to advance this revolutionary idea. A 🧵

i don't think we should gatekeep the enormous 28 pound bunny that works as a service animal at giants games sometimes. i think we should share news of the 28 pound bunny with the wider internet

man at baseball game holding the biggest fucking bunny rabbit you've ever seen in your life. and he's wearing a hat

same bunny, now tossed over the man's shoulder. the bunny is the size of an overnight bag

said bunny in his carrier, which is palanquin sized

the bunny wearing his service vest, legs floofed out on the floor. It's hard to tell from the scale of the picture but he's so fucking big

I think businesses that survive this stage are the ones that are agile. BSky is about to show us which one they are. They’ve been agile with respect to accommodating the technical needs of growth, but the fact that Black users had to fight them so much about safety makes wonder about the rest.

Not to say the spreadsheets aren’t important. But you can’t run on them alone. In order to work on the things that are immaterial you need to deliver on the things which are.

“Nobody cares about your spreadsheet.” I wish this had broader recognition. Op ed’s can extoll the numbers, but if they don’t track or predict the perceived outcomes then they don’t matter.
