For years at my local nature reserve there has been a house for purple martins. but I have never seen a purple martin in the nature reserve, let alone the martin nest box the entire 25 years i've been birdwatching there. until today. I hope they have a good nesting season

There is a theory that supercontinents from cyclically approximately every 500 million years. Since it has been about 300 million years since Pangaea formed, it is likely in another 200 million years plate tectonics will result in a supercontinent again, which has been dubbed Pangaea Proxima.
