Today, the Nakba continues, as a process of dispossession and oppression of the Palestinians. They still live under siege, occupation, and continued forced displacement. The Nakba continues, at its worst under the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

In Gaza, around 70% of Palestinians are refugees. Britain has a historic responsibility. Its withdrawal from Palestine was reckless and irresponsible with no attempt at ensuring an orderly departure. The Nakba started before May 1948 whilst British forces were still in Palestine.
