Did you play this and if so on what? Donkey Kong is the 1981 product of Nintendo's efforts to develop a hit to rival Pac-Man and break into the N. American market. Project was assigned to 1st time video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. In 1983 Atarisoft ported the game to the VIC-20 & C64. #Commodore

#LogLoads64 Cyberball (1990) DOMARK! Argh! We're DOOMED! Et cetera. #C64 sports games a two-a-penny, but there aren't really that many "American Football" type games, I guess they were just to tricksy to implement. Well, this futuristic sports title is absolute dirge. Apalling SID + All else.

My Top 30 #C64 Guilty Pleasures - No. 5 Space Harrier It was always going to be a tall order converting Sega’s state-of-the-art, hydraulic-powered arcade blaster to the C64. And yes, it’s jerky & nowhere near as spectacular. But somehow, the speed, chaos & sheer ambition still made it fun to play.

#LogLoads64 Bazooka Bill Two fellow peeps have mentioned this #C64 "classic" (you know who you are!) 😆 and really I cannot understand what they see in BB. The game is REALLY REALLY BAD! Ha ha ha ha! But, don't take my word for it - fire it up and have a go tourself. Why is BB so damned slow? NOPE!

#C64UDiaries It's just, well, nice, I suppose, to be in a position to a) have a lovely study and b) load C64 games as I am actually working. I had forgotten how charming Equinox actually is. The game, I think, is a bit frustrating, but that's a nice Title SID (pic not representative of now).

Top 30 #C64 Guilty Pleasures No. 9 Wizardry This was one of those games I wanted to be better than it was. It looked great in previews, but when it finally arrived it never quite lived up to the promise. The graphics & music kept me playing, even if beneath the shiny surface it was all a bit dull.

#LogLoads64 CJ in the USA The first CJ game was really nicely done. This one, whilst much of the same smooth-scrolling #C64 platforming action and 2-PLY, just feels off somehow. Mainly due to the awkward as hell level design and insta-death / no visible collision mechanic. Still, it ain't terrible.

Very nice loading pic on the C64 for CJ in the USA. Our elephant hero wearing a blue baseball cap and a red tee and nowt else, holds a lantern in his trunk and is paddling on a wooden raft in a sewer! I see a crocodile and a rat.

C64 is a timeless machine. Here's a classic technique called HARD SYNC. It works by using one of the voices as a carrier that drives the main voice, syncing the oscillators to give that bright, harsh sweep. Main theme played on C64 is pure SID chip and isn't edited in any way #chiptune #cyberpunk 🤘👾
