My favourite thing about doing historical research is going to visit a new archive! Today I visited the @tate.bsky.social archive to research Lady Agnes Jekyll's bequest of this Rossetti painting - The Girlhood of Mary Virgin - in 1937 in memory of her father www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks...

Thrilled to visit St Nicholas church in Overstone to see dedication window in memory of Samuel Jones Loyd (Lord Overstone). Installed by his daughter Lady Wantage in 1903.
