The new BT keyboard that I got was just too cramped. I loved the small form factor because it made it easy to carry around, but it was somewhat painful to type with. I guess I'm going back to my previous BT keyboard. It's a bit larger but typing on it wasn't so bad.

I once went to Vancouver, and asked a pharmacist how much a vial of insulin costs, they said $35. Then I called my pharmacy in the states, and they said $360. Insulin companies extort their customers and people are dying because of it. Prices are getting better, but not by much. Keeping an 👁️ on this

Yesterday, I managed to successfully clone the hard drive my Acer Chromebook R11 that I revived with Linux Mint Xfce. Having done a lot of tweaks and customization to the system, I wanted to make sure I had a working back up. Plus, it'll make it easier to set up future R11s if I ever get another.

The revived Chromebook is doing well. I finally finished adding all the Linux Mint Xfce tweaks I could find for this particular model. It feels good knowing this little machine isn't going to the dump any time soon.

I had to replace the firmware which led me to chase down a write-protect screw on the motherboard. Then I had issues with video playback that took all night to debug. I tried so many settings changes but using an older driver solved it.

My old Acer Chromebook R11 been sitting in the closet after it had reached EOL and no longer received updates from Google. Needing a distraction, I decided to try to give the device a second life by installing Linux Mint.. The process was not simple. A lot of debugging was needed. But SUCCESS!
