in terms of professions that do indeed owe you something, politician is actually one of the big ones

literally begging people to engage with books + texts critically. it's okay to not understand something the first time. it's okay to question the writing technique of a literary darling. it's okay to do more than make a quick meal of a book and only reach for things that fit easily in your mouth.

good news if you enjoy feral 30 year old FMCs, Arthurian legend, bisexual chaos, brooding Unseelie fae kings, and a medically inadvisable amount of yearning, my dark urban fantasy exists!

tbh i wrote my book because getting frisky with hot fae kings should not have an age limit. in fact, i would argue it's a very appropriate activity for feral, mouthy, unhinged 30-year-old journalists.

well I guess if they’re gonna ban a bunch of books anyway, I might as well write a gothic fantasy about two hot lesbians who topple a Catholic-coded cult and kill god 🩸(it comes out this spring)

“your books aren’t political, they’re about magic and romance!” I literally made the villain a blatant avatar of capitalism and imperialism but ok lmao

hi does anyone on this app like femme rage, 30 year old FMCs, Arthurian legend, Hozier-coded MMCs and old-school faerie folklore?

have you ever wanted a book like THE CRUEL PRINCE but with spice … and a hefty dash of A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES … plus a 30-year-old FMC and lots of female rage?
