who's locking who out, dumbass? I wouldn't sign my name to this either if I was the artist
a newspaper cartoon. a baseball player holds a ball, and the text says "actual size of a major league baseball". The player has a really tiny head, smaller than the ball, with text pointing at his head reading "actual size of a major league baseball player's brain that thinks the coming lockout is for the good of the game"

"We didn't think this administration was going to crack down on undocumented workers that hard," Reyna said, but "it is completely devastating the local construction industry. It's grinding it down to a halt."Voters like Reyna, a second-generation Mexican American, helped Trump flip this overwhelmingly Latino area for the first time in generations, in part due to the president's promise to lower the cost of living and secure the border.Reyna still keeps "Make America Great Again" caps in his office, but he counts himself among the skeptics.

This is…not the beef that MAGA has with Democrats
"You know, poll after poll after poll shows that MAGA Republicans and Democrats agree that affordability is the No. 1 issue, but when you look at Republicans -- and specifically MAGA Republicans - they don't trust Democrats to actually execute. And this coalition is the answer to that question, and that's our value proposition long term," Bibb said.

Big Balls mentioned, drink!
According to Trump, the project started "almost on day one" of his administration. He thanked Gebbia, Chief Brand Architect of the U.S. Peter Arnell, and Edward Coristine, the DOGE member known by the name "Big Balls," for their work on the project. Per Trump, Coristine was the lead engineer on the project.
Notably, Trump thanked Musk, who founded Trump's controversial DOGE but left before the group saw the end of its mandate. Trump credited Musk with being the person who "initially envisioned the transformation of government through technology and brought us the talent to get the job done."

Nature is metal
Elk Country Visitor Center

Tonight at the Elk Country Visitor Center, a 6x7 bull elk was fatally wounded during a battle with another bull. The bull was gored in the lungs during the fight.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission responded quickly and was able to recover the animal and salvage the meat.
While this is difficult to witness, it is also a reminder that the Elk Country Visitor Center is home to **WILD elk**. We are incredibly fortunate to have a front-row seat to the beauty, power, and sometimes harsh realities of nature. Not every moment in the wild is easy to see-but these moments are part of the natural world and the cycle of life.

So, while the 700 known cases are significant, she said that figure likely includes duplicates, because many of the individuals touch multiple systems and are counted each time, and she believes they still represent no more than 10% of the true number of people being harmed in the community.

Whales and elephants are definitely heartbreaking because we see them as smart in some very human ways I think about this quote often
"One of the penalties of an ecological education is that one lives alone in a world of wounds. Much of the damage inflicted on land is quite invisible to laymen. An ecologist must either harden his shell and make believe that the consequences of science are none of his business, or he must be the doctor who sees the marks of death in a community that believes itself well and does not want to be told otherwise."

When you factor in the workforce purge of 2025, the fact that adverse actions remain constant means a much higher percentage of workers were subject to them
As of June 2026, OPM reported that there have been 3,105 federal employee terminations and separations based on poor performance or misconduct governmentwide. That's compared with 3,492 in all of fiscal 2025 — excluding only the Postal Service, intelligence agencies and some other smaller government entities.

LarryLegend @bwtrainer.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
This is probably because most federal employees are good at their jobs, which these people are incapable of conceiving
"Despite President Trump's significant changes to how federal agencies address poor performance and misconduct, the federal government has not seen significant increases in performance-based and adverse actions," OPM said in a Sept. 15 Federal Register notice

This sure seems like voter fraud! Dude with a net worth of $20M+ is living in an intergenerational household with his adult daughter and her husband?
The first I'd recalled concerned Collins' son-in-law, David Alan Scheer II, and CNN's revelation in July that he's "a pro-White nationalist and social media influencer with a track record of sharing antisemitic material and Nazi imagery in comments across the internet." And Scheer isn't some random estranged family member. Per CNN, he appeared in photos on Collins' campaign website, and the address on his voter registration is Collins' home.

This is WIDLY ill informed How did Dems make vaccines partisan? What power do they have to make them not partisan? If MAHA wants strong regulation, why did they vote for the guy who already cut regulations & promised to cut more? @mdaware.org @colincarlson.bsky.social @walkerbragman.bsky.social
If liberals and progressives put aside the partisanship around the COVID vaccine, I think they could potentially speak to the concerns of vaccine skeptics quite effectively. Perhaps more effectively than Republicans in terms of consumer protection, such as limiting harmful chemicals in products.

Democrats tend to be more of the regulation party, and that's actually what a lot of the MAHA people are looking for. They're not getting it out of the Trump administration for the most part. So, I think it's

It’s literally impossible to know this
This capacity for self examination is uniquely human. Though chimpanzees, dolphins, elephants, and even pigeons can recognize their images in a mirror, human beings are the only species with the capacity for introspection-that is, the ability to consciously examine our thoughts, feelings, motives, and behaviors.

“They’re giving out participation trophies to small children🙄”
Barrowford's misguided approach was designed to produce an army of children whose selt-esteem is preserved at all costs. And again, in this the school is not alone. We've all heard the examples: sports teams where everyone is a winner, like one branch of the American Youth Soccer Organization that hands out roughly 3,500 awards each season (this works out to at least one award per player). Others prevent students from losing altogether, like the schools in the U.S. and Europe that banned all competitive sports. There are the elementary schools where failing grades and red pens have been outlawed because theyre too "negative," or where students spend time working on daily "I Love Me" lessons. The high schools with 30 valedictorians who ship their students off to colleges where grade inflation is an ever increasing prob. lem. For example, in 2001, a whopping 91 percent of Harvard students graduated with honors, and in 2013, at least half of all grades awarded were A's. But in 2015, 72 percent of students polled didn't think that grade inflation was a problem.
This is all evidence of a sweeping problem I call the Feel Good Ef-fect, though its consequences are far more pernicious than the cheery name suggests. In the workplace, for example, the best-case scenario is that people who see themselves as special and amazing annoy those who have to work with them. In the worst case, they are woefully ill-equipped to deal with the tiniest bit of criticism, crushed in the face of the smallest screw-up, and devastated by any minor setback
