#jj-vcs interoperability with Git continues to be key. The fact that ERSC can swap out the repo storage to not use Git, *and* can have a migration path to a future, better wire protocol than Git's, while preserving compatibility along the way, is amazing!

At the risk of starting the flame war to end all flame wars... Modern LLMs (GPT-5.1, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3) produce excellent code and can be a significant productivity boost to software engineers who take the time to learn how to effectively apply them - especially if used with coding agent tools

In Rust, we don't say: "you forgot to run fmt with +nightly" instead we say: Warning: can't set `imports_granularity = Item`, unstable features are only available in nightly channel. and I think that's beautiful

i think React shies away a bit too much from acknowledging its FP heritage. it's partially because you don't want to alienate people, and FP with its terminology is often alienating but like.. i think it makes sense to acknowledge React is still fundamentally FP. that's why it's weird and wonderful
