A public announcement. #ASDRE

Eight months ago, we celebrated the launch of one of our most anticipated missions yet, The Amphitrite, sent to explore planet 15-DS3 in hopes of migration. This has long been A.S.D.R.E.'s focus, and The Amphitrite left with high hopes for this.

Six weeks ago, Control Centre at A.S.D.R.E. lost contact with the crew aboard The Amphitrite. Emergency measures were put in place in order to pick up distress calls. Unfortunately, in this time no such distress call has been found.

After much deliberation, we have made the decision to follow A.S.D.R.E. protocol in this situation. Therefore, it is with great sadness that we announce complete mission failure, and planet 15-DS3 as unfit for human life. All crew members of The ARV Amphitrite are henceforth pronounced deceased. As with ASDRE procedure, we will not be sending out a rescue or retrieval team due to the risk of loss being deemed too high. Our focus and resources must remain on finding a habitual environment for all.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the deceased, and family members of the crew will be given a three day paid leave grace period for grieving. The crew will be honoured at our next seminar, for those attending. Interviews will begin next week to fill the positions of those we have lost.

Sincerely,
Dr Eva Vance
A.S.D.R.E CEO

It’s the subtle differences that the tiny finishing touches make! The left is unpolished solder and it always looks crusty, dry and flaky after the black patina is applied. After a little polish, the image on the right is what it looks like! #cultofthelamb #stainedglass #stainedglasstips #art

If you voted for Trump get off of my page. I don’t care about anything you have to say if you voted for him. You are not allowed to complain about ANYTHING because this is YOUR FAULT. Now the rest of us get to live with your mistakes.

I'll never be fully comfortable inhabiting the mantle of 'artist' no matter how many folks love my work or how beautiful any of it is. Why? Because inevitably I'll see someone explain how "All artists love to make art." I don't. I never have. It's a sisyphean task I accept to make my visions true.

I feel there's this pressure to be like- a whole internet personality on top of doing and posting art. Making tutorials, process videos, snappy advice reels etc. But I don't think that'll ever be me. I'm content just being a reclusive goblin lady who shares her little paintings occasionally.

Pasadena Humane has seen an influx of over 300 animals due to the fires. People lined up down the block to drop off beloved pets they could not take with them when they fled their homes. Some animals arrived with burns and injuries and are being treated. Donations and fosters are needed NOW.
