Once again, for the politicians, business leaders, and journalists still actively posting on X/Twitter: why? You're using a platform that's owned by someone who's trying to break up your country. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Québecers hedged their bets, as they are wont to do. The PQ is on a short leash, IMO, with no mandate to proceed with a referendum anytime soon. Which doesn’t mean they won’t try. The CAQ was punished for shoddy governance. The Liberals surging under Milliard is encouraging.

What truce? Smith has enabled the so-called separatists every step of the way. So, the pathway to national unity involves appeasing a duplicitous premier who is extorting pipelines and much else from Ottawa to ramp up the production and consumption of fossil fuels? Madness.

1. Let's not say goodbye to Eric Schmitt just yet. His story is about more than a power-mad senator falling on his face. It's part of a larger story about the Republicans defending the leader of an insurrection against the United States.

Early days in the Babcock Era in Edmonton and the Oilers are still dangerous at both ends of the ice. Oilers built an 8-2 cushion, a blitz that included two (2) short-handed goals on the same penalty. Now 8-5 in 3rd period. Oops, 8-6 as Canucks bury a one-timer on a pp of their own.
