I rate Spence and think he makes all sorts of sense for us.

That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?

Whole lotta trade activity for a title that's already decided and sport that's ruined.

Don't see what leverage PSG have here. They're signing two wingers ahead of Barcola and they know his value will only decrease the closer he gets to his contract expiring. They can ask for the moon because that's what others are going for this summer, but they don't really hold the cards for it.

The epitome of Curtis Jones defensively there. Just walking in his own box and then fails to clear it to boot.

All due respect to Shohei, the greatest signing in Dodgers history:

Teams with higher payrolls stink. Teams with lower payrolls are right in it. The fact that the Dodgers are VERY good and have a VERY high payroll is going to be used deceptively, in bad faith, to try to pit fans against the union.

I am begging you not to believe gazillionaire baseball owners when they tell you Skubal going to the Dodgers means we need a salary cap. Competitive balance is not the reason they want a salary cap. They just want to spend less, and with more predictability, on total payroll. That is all.

It's gonna be so funny when they have to change the rules to stop the Dodgers and they continue to dominate anyways. At least the billionaires will get to pocket more of your money.

Is the salary cap also going to make the Dodgers have a bad farm system?

Greene, Snell, and Glasnow would combine to make one whole SP. Let's do it. Seriously, though, depending on the price, think I'd rather do this than Skubal. Crazy as that sounds.

I refuse to believe a baseball has ever been hit harder than that ball by Shohei. He nearly killed the pitcher and the shortstop. No way that thing was *only* 106 mph.

Palace are just about the perfect opponent for this game. A) They're a good side. B) They actually care about winning this. C) They're consistent from last season in terms of personnel, manager, and tactics. Really good test for a meaningless game.

Our season kicks off almost exactly one week from now. This summer has been both the longest and quickest I can remember. Nowhere near ready for the football to begin again personally, but up the all-conquering reds.

My friend and I were 11. There was a local theater that offered a kids matinee, where you could see a PG-rated movie for a buck. We bought tickets for a kids movie, snuck out of that theater, and into the one showing Waterworld. After, we hid in the bathroom and snuck back in for the second showing.

Diaz is a very good footballer who we'll miss, but I'd rather miss him now than be paying him what Bayern are in 4 years. Pretty easy call between taking 75m for him or giving him a new deal imo. Wish him the best.

Titanius Anglesmith 🍉 @burtmacklinsob.bsky.social · 26/07/2025

Ngumoha's 1v1 ability plays at the first-team level, which is not always the case. If that kid develops an end product and some movement off the ball, holy hell.
