brady @bureji.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Finally beat #expedtion33. Took me a long time due to pacing issues in the final act, got stuck on doing optional content. Overall, I do think the game is very good and worth all the praise, but there are some quirks I personally found nagging. Hard to talk about without spoilers though, haha 000 0

brady @bureji.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Haha, well, I did spoil THAT part for myself already. The subreddit was posting literally every day with character reveals. Just more muted them since it's filling with posts about the game. They had no business putting that many attractive people in one game (Also Onimusha is sick as hell) 210 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 17/09/2026One of the best pieces of video game journalism ever made. I was already deeply indoctrinated by FF14 by the time this released, and this did nothing but further endear it to me. 010 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 17/09/2026My order got delayed until Oct 1st 🫠 More time to finish Onimusha and do some backlogging I guess, but going two weeks with no spoilers is gonna be rough. Lemme know if it's as good as everyone is saying it is! 120 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Valid points, and I agree that Wolf does seem to know what he's doing, even if what he's doing is incredibly infuriating, lol. And I never faulted Toby Fox for partnering with Materia in regards to assistance with distribution and such, but it always bums me out to see legal battles like this. 100 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Dang, wasn't aware of that. I'll admit I'm a casual listener and didn't keep up with everything going on with the label, but it's real shitty if all that is true. If he is pocketing anything, he's pretty good at keeping up an "indie" appearance. 100 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Genuinely asking, have they actually made millions? I saw that part in Materia's statement, but my understanding was that GameChops was also pretty indie. Is it a case of all the individual artists income adding up over the past ten years, or something like that? 100 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 16/09/2026The entire thing sucks, Toby Fox is a generational talent who, to my knowledge, embraces and encourages the fair use of his compositions in covers and remixes. But in the pursuit of holding that talent hostage, Materia is doing everything they can to suppress this creativity without their licensing. 100 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Their current big target is @gamechops.com which is a sizable VGM label that promotes covers and remixes, founded in 2010 and has notably includes MANY artists who have covered and remixed Toby Fox's music since the Undertale's release. www.tiktok.com/@videogamedj...tiktok.comwe have 24 hours or we lose my channel #copyright #dmca #creator #musicianlife TikTok video by Dj Cutman 100 0

brady @bureji.bsky.social · 04/08/2026This is all to say that I still love the music in the Remake series, and if anything, I'm still incredibly excited for Revelation. brady @bureji.bsky.social · 04/08/2026I think Rebirth did a better job with music variety, and the Mt. Corel sequence again stood out with how much it differed with the rest of the OST. brady @bureji.bsky.social · 04/08/2026This was honestly the most memorable musical section in Remake, because of how much it stands out in the OST, it's just unfortunate it sounds so much like FF13 (which is a good game and a great soundtrack on its own, just wish the composer channeled a bit more Uematsu) youtu.be/xhhV-rIOuA8?...youtu.beCollapsed Expressway / High Five - Final Fantasy VII Remake | Soundtrack SessionsYouTube video by BOON Syndication 220 0
brady @bureji.bsky.social · 04/08/2026The Airbuster fight in Remake comes close, but only due to the preceeding cutscene. Synth, jazz, and prog are iconic sounds for the PS1 era of final fantasy, and honestly should be used in way more RPGs 100 0
