Meet Jacques "Scrappy" Larocque. He found me in Dollarama this morning and insisted I take him home. Bearing a ferocious eye scar from past battles, I knew he meant business and would likely pick a fight with the local crows on a whim. I took the risk, whisking him home for hugs. 10/10 soft friend ❤️

I remember reading this letter when it was posted. I actually brought it up to a younger friend of mine just this week. The concept of "I respect you too much to sugarcoat the truth in my art for your immediate comfort" is a concept that's really stuck with me, and I notice it in other media.

When I'm fatigued, listening to music or a video helps me keep moving. Something about the sound keeps me aware that time is passing, and eventually, I will be able to do most of what I need to do. Tonight's difficult task was properly putting myself to bed, and the soundtrack was Bob Ross.
