I’ve never wanted a team to lose more than this one.

Sky News story headline about the asshole Argentinian team holding up a banner saying the Falkland Islands are theirs immediately after England’s loss.

The World Cup is not about politics and yet the smug racist Argentina team thinks it’s ok to parade their hate and bigotry throughout the tournament. I really really hope they lose on Sunday!

I just had to go outside for a minute and the moon is amazing. Somehow I couldn’t get the crescent but look at the stars!

Totally worth the cost of a stamp to let Northwestern University know what I think of their capitulation. @nu-sesp-tlep.bsky.social

A photo of a fundraising card from Northwestern University. Since Northwestern just decided to cave in and benzene to the fascist regime, instead of a donation, I have written “Northwestern caved to fascists. I will never support that. Shame on you. If you ever reverse your poor choice, I will consider supporting you again.“
In the dollar amount line, I also wrote “nothing until you stop bending the knee to a fascist regime.”

These are not democrats. They are spineless pathetic turncoats who collect a big paycheck while carelessly allowing their constituents to suffer. Vote them all out. They are complicit. I hope they suffer 1000x more than the American people will for what they just did to us.

The 8 pieces of shit who don’t care about Americans at all. They want us to suffer rather than have a flight delayed. Make them pay. Vote them into oblivion

BugE. @bug-luvs.bsky.social · 15/10/2025

Ok! Here is the recipe without weird translations!

Reza's Soup
• 3 tablespoons ghee or olive oil
• 1 medium yellow onion (8 ounces), diced
• 3/4 cup (5 ounces) green or brown lentils
• 1/2 cup (3 1/2 ounces) uncooked basmati rice
• 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves (optional)
• 1/2 teaspoon fine salt, plus more as needed
• 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 6 cups low-sodium vegetable or chicken broth, divided
• 1/2 bunch (2 ounces) fresh parsley, preferably curly, leaves and tender stems, finely chopped and divided, plus more for serving
• 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 large lemons), plus more to taste
• Fresh herb sprigs, such as parsley, scallions, tarragon and/or dill, for serving, as desired (optional)
• 6 ounces feta, for serving (optional)
Steps
1. In a large Dutch oven or pot with a lid, heat the ghee or oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Add the onion, and stir occasionally until it starts to brown, about 5 minutes.
2. Stir in the lentils and rice, coating them in the fat. Add the tomato paste, cumin, dried mint, if using, salt, pepper and cinnamon. Add about 2 cups of the stock, and stir to dissolve the tomato paste and evenly disperse the spices. Add the remaining stock, stir well, increase the heat to high and bring to a boil. Decrease the heat to medium-low, stir, cover and simmer until the rice and lentils are cooked through, 20 to 25 minutes. (If the soup thickens more than you'd like, add water, 1/4 cup at a time.) Taste, and adjust the seasonings, if needed.
3. Stir in about three-quarters of the parsley and remove from the heat. Just before serving, stir in the lemon juice. Divide the soup among bowls, top with the remaining parsley and serve hot, with cheese and fresh herb sprigs on the side, if desired

What the heck? This is not the kind of company I want while I’m home sick. This thing just showed up on my sofa and is now safely outside hopefully headed far away.

A bug of some sort with at least 12 legs on each side and long antennae in the front- and back? It’s greyish with 3 black stripes down the length of its back. It is longer than a penny. It is in a glass jar which I used to catch it.
