Exciting news, I just got hit with my lawyer's bill for $9k (that's on top of the $5k retainer)... I've upped this fundraiser to $15k since I know she'll have to work more on stuff. Please share and thank you if you've donated/shared already! Link below:

Don't really want to have to do this but if you know me at all you know why I have to do this. Looking to raise at least $5k with a stretch of $10 coz I don't even have a full time job. Lawyers are expensive! Anyway link below.

my poem in @somewordslit.bsky.social
Really, Really Well

It rained. It was raining.
We waited inside the paint cans.

Your paint can was sundrop.
My paint can was gun.

The wind was standing by the pantry.
Eyeing the eyeglasses.

Looking deeply into the seasoning beside
the giant mugs of coffee.

The coins and the fake teeth
and the cheese whiz were not ours.

I wanted to tell you first, how
I'm sending a message to the chili committee.

It will make everything okay.
Once it's sent, we'll be doing really well for ourselves.

Really, really well. We wait for our paintings to dry.
Our paintings are made of stray cattle.

Our paintings are made of glass.
When the time comes, you add, the sea will no longer sing.

I gather my things and read by the pool.
Life is cruel yet my arms still work.

DISINTEGRATION DELUXE! Today is the six month anniversary of our first release! To celebrate, we're releasing a digital edition for the very first time 🎨 Feat. 20 additional poems & illustrations (as well as a remixed red cover), this one’s for the superfans who need more Kiik
deluxe version with the red coverabout the author

Kiik Araki-Kawaguchi’s work has been translated into sixteen languages. Kiik performed the translations though he has never been able to learn a foreign language and is mildly illiterate in English. The translations exist as conjectures of what Kiik’s voice might do if he was a Swedish, a Chinese, etc. As a result the Swedish and Chinese work is very clever. A literary critic once wrote Kiik please stay out of my garden I need those vegetables to make soup. In his pocket the locks of twelve children. Doused and scoured using twelve emulsions. Milky swampy perfumed. In his garden a row of twelve scalped turnips. Pale ghost riders. Paw of snowmelt resting on its heart of mud.on thursday we made love

a prose poem of mine in the newest issue of Water~Stone Review
Dada

After we measured your belly and declared it the largest, you became our family's father. Largest Dada, our new great papa. We had a party to mark the day as celebration. You didn't wear a shirt. You weren't allowed. You had to stand still at the Dada Party so that guests could measure your depths. All guests arrived with dying in their mouths. To pay you respect, some wore pillows in their shirts. Others packed balloons to let you know that you were the new father of our family. Near dawn, we stuck out our guts for as long as we could, expanding and expanding as we gathered more cheers. You are here with us now. Our dear Dada, long papa, new dad. Your stomach is thunderous. We trust it will help.
