Arguments to effect of "But who will do those shit jobs for crap wages?" as justification to maintain a caste of illegals, is most racist, deplorable, anti-labor, Apartheid thinking imaginable. Not in favor of deportations, but 100% against systemic Labor Apartheid to break back of organized labor.

Facadism & Facadectomy is a really great design strategy when it's well-executed, as this appears to be. But when it's not thoughtfully considered, it's bad-bad

It's boring over here. I'm just going to say it. I mean, I like you all, and that's the fucking problem. It's just not fun without the bozos. Like my need for random aggression is not met here. I'm just not happy unless someone is telling me to go fuck myself. Maybe I lived in NYC for too long.

Concentrating ~all of your city’s new less-expensive housing on polluted and dangerous main streets while reserving the quiet side streets exclusively for people wealthy enough to afford single family homes, which are the most expensive and luxurious type of housing, is profoundly classist.

She's completely correct of course. I'm going to say that we started down this path on August 15, 1971 and everything that's happened since then has been political theater as the oligarchs and their servants dismantled our representative democracy.

Going to keep saying a few things about housing. Particularly: No politician is serious abt housing if they are not addressing following: 1) Construction Financing 2) RE Taxation 3) Sales Tax 4) Reform of Labor Risk 5) Tort Reform 6) Trade Relations Please notice what's missing on that list.

Have a condo project in SOHO, probably one of the highest value areas in the world. Construction costs, taxes, and debt have reached the point where a condo in SOHO won't even pencil. Folks, this is a 5-alarm 🚒 for housing and I'm not sure anyone's receiving the signal.

For any of you who are potentially upset that there may still be some parking. I want to inform you that in an R6 zone, parking will not be required until the project is larger than 60 units, 100 units in R7A, and 250 units in R8 zones. Relatively few projects are larger than this in the city.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. A year later, nearly half of participants said they had housing.
Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.
