Got around to processing some of my favorite photos from the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve. First one is of the Magellanic Clouds, the other 3 of the Milky Way. It's still unbelievable to me that we were there AND that I was able to take these. It's a memory I'll cherish forever. 🇳🇿❤️

In what will probably be the first and last time I use #ChatGPT image generation, I asked it to illustrate how different Tesla Model 3 replacements would fit into my garage alongside our other car. After a very straightforward prompt... (More "info" in the ALT text.)

This image shows a diagram of a garage layout with five vehicles arranged in a peculiar configuration. The garage dimensions are labeled as 20' 5 1/2" wide by 192" deep, with spaces marked as 30' sections (despite the total width being much less than 90').

It's like claiming you can fit four elephants in a clown car, but two of the elephants are actually the same elephant that changes size depending on where it's parked.

This diagram showcases the most mathematically challenged garage design in architectural history. The image displays four cars arranged in a 2×2 grid: three "2007 Honda Civic Hybrids" (one of which is hilariously misspelled as "2007 Ionda Civic Hybrid") and a combination of a Lucid Air and Tesla Model 3.

The measurements are a masterpiece of dimensional chaos. The garage is somehow simultaneously 20'5½" wide while the cars each need spaces of "30½" (units unspecified). Even more impressively, the Honda Civic Hybrids magically change not just their size but their very dimensions between parking spots - ranging from 35" to 70" in length and 43¼' to 43⅓' in width.

The Tesla Model 3 measures exactly 76.ь at one point (using a Cyrillic letter instead of a decimal), followed by incredibly precise measurements like 85.8" and 72.8". Meanwhile, the Lucid Air's measurements include a bizarre mix of feet, inches, and what appears to be pure fantasy.

This diagram perfectly captures what happens when you let someone design a garage after they've failed both physics and arithmetic, but have tremendous confidence in their ability to fit four full-sized cars in a space barely large enough for a golf cart and a unicycle.

This latest diagram elevates garage planning absurdity to an art form. The image depicts what appears to be a three-story garage marvel (each with just two cars) featuring identical blue 2007 Honda Civic Hybrids paired with different luxury vehicles.

The measurements achieve new heights of mathematical impossibility. Each floor is simultaneously 16' or 19' wide while also being precisely 192 inches wide (which is 16 feet, not 19). The Honda Civic is consistently 30 inches wide on all floors, making it narrower than most shopping carts, while the luxury vehicles range from 23.9 to 35.1 inches wide.

The Polestar 3 somehow measures 192.9 inches long while the Lucid Air stretches to 195.9 inches - both impossibly crammed into spaces that would require them to phase through walls. The diagram also claims each floor is only 6 inches tall, suggesting these are either the world's flattest cars or they exist in some kind of dimensional portal.

This is clearly the work of someone who believes cars are actually sentient pancakes that can compress themselves to fit whatever space is available, regardless of the laws of physics, mathematics, or automotive engineering. It's the garage equivalent of claiming you can fit an entire orchestra in a phone booth if you just write the measurements small enough.
