TCAF is proud to champion comics as a vital art form. In this political climate, protecting the arts as a source of revolutionary self-expression has never been more important. But like many nonprofit arts orgs, TCAF is experiencing financial challenges.

Or they get removed entirely in two years! Either way it's hard to want to invest in that climate.

Yes I think that's the biggest hurdle to any of these tariffs working out the way they're supposed to right now. DT has already said they can be reduced "for good behaviour", plus he's so changeable he might just give up on them in a few months.

My question was kinda jokey, but I appreciate the genuine response and I am genuinely curious! I don't know the nature of what you manufacture, but to what extent are your materials costs going to be affected? Do you anticipate your domestic client base will grow enough to offset this?

Futzing around with character looks as I dive back into drawing Elder & Ritchley. I am happy anytime Elder looks more like a mean little gremlin and less like a heroic anime protag. #artpost #ocs

Sketchy portrait drawings of Elder, a woman with short white hair and pointed ears. She is making a variety of expressions, from smiley to smirking to sad to exasperated.

Do you ever think about what happens to the old D&D characters from campaigns you never finished? Sometimes I picture them all hanging out at a tavern together or something. #oc #dnd #artpost #ttrpg #illustration

A young half-elf woman sits on the grassy ground. She has tan skin and shoulder-length brown hair; she wears a loose-fitting, short-cropped shirt with baggy sleeves tucked into gauntlets, a series of necklaced beaded with teeth and bone, paneled brown leather pants and Peter Pan-style booties. Beside her, a sword with a horse head design on the end of the hilt sits, stabbed into the soft ground. It is pouring rain but the woman seems unbothered—in fact her eyes are glowing blue as the sword next to her sparkles with electricity, a sign that lightning will soon strike.

One thing about me playing D&D is that I MUST create my character art upfront even if the game dies. Anyway meet Tilly Lane, baby Divination Wizard, secret Changling con artist. Made money pretending to see the future til they hit level 2 and started doing it for real. #artpost #ocs #dnd #ttrpg

Drawing of a female-presenting figure with light tan skin, shoulder-length curly hair, purple eyes and large round glasses. She is wearing a loose white t-shirt; high-waisted overly large, belted tan trousers; a beige waist sash; brown ankle boots; and a knee-length gauzy indigo robe which is dotted with white spots, looking like a night sky. She is heavily accessorized, with necklaces including a large crystal on a chain, numerous bracelets, and a ring on nearly every finger. She is holding up The Magician tarot card.

Escapism feels so weird right now. Part of me wants to get away. Part of me wants to FIGHT. Reposted to fix alt text! #artpost #ocs #vaporwave

Drawing of a scene with two women on a rooftop, looking out over a city. The first woman, Ritchley, has brown skin and long brown hair, trailing to her waist, with one side of her head shaved. She wears a leather biker jacket over a white turtleneck, loose cuffed jeans, and tall heeled square-toed boots. The other woman, Elder, has purple skin, white hair and pointed ears. She faces away from us, looking over the city. She is wearing a loose red sweatshirt over a white racerback tanktop, jeans, and white high-top sneakers. In the background we see the tops of high rise buildings stretching to the horizon. The entire scene is rendered in shades of cyan, pink and purple, giving it a dreamy, surreal look.

Yassified Yak

A sketch of a cartoon yak giving grown-up My Little Yak vibes, standing in front of a big blue letter Y. Its fur is a lush orange-brown with curled, highlighted ends, its elegantly crossed feet have red nail polish, and it's wearing golden rings on its nail-polished-tipped horns and an earring in its fluffy ear. It's looking at the viewer with a mascaraed, heavy-lidded eye, and doing a bit of a duck face with thick red lips. You know, yassified.

Can't wait to continue these idiots' story. The dynamic between a necromancer and the ghost who's stuck haunting/trolling her is just. Endlessly amusing to me. #artpost #ocs #webcomic

A comic. Elder, A dark purple elf woman with white hair, is waving her hands around into ridiculous finger poses. Glowing turquoise thread hangs between her fingers, cat's cradle-style. In the final panel a translucent teal woman (Ritchley), walks past, holding a coffee mug in one hand, looking over her shoulder at Elder. Ritchley says, "Practicing your CoOoOl gang signs?" Elder, looking brattily affronted, throws her hands up and shouts, "It's MAGIC!!!"
