Its been nice and breezy all day with comfortable temps. I just stepped outside to "cool off" after moving furniture. The outside now feels like I'm sitting in a pot of hot beef stew. Not a stitch of a breeze. Damn storm coming. 😒

About 6-8 weeks ago I was gifted a monstera. It was one of the first things I found a home for when I moved into the house last week. She has new growth today. I squealed and danced and immediately took a pic. I sent it to the lovely lady who gave it to me. My late brother-in-law's mother. 😊

My housing situation has been weird for basically 3 years. The house we are in has been shared w/ my mother & her husband. They are downsizing & leaving. My boys & I will have the full house. Which means a kitchen to cook in again, den & living room to congregate, & I get a room (not the garage). 🙃

I had my first one about 2 weeks ago. Its a new feeder but in the same place as always. Buddy must have really trusted me because he got right next to me to have a quick meal before he flew off to the other spot where I used to have other feeders (but I don't have those out yet).

Baseball season sunsets are my favorite. Step outside to see the late sunset sky, the ball field lights illuminated, listening to the birds bedding down for the night, the clink of the bats, the kids cheering for their team mates. Just a beautiful experience every time. It never gets old.

My 20 had his first accident today. He is sore but otherwise okay. Both vehicles involved were totaled. I feel so bad for him. He lost his first car that he has invested so much into. Please send him good thoughts and healing energy.

I hope you are feeling better now. I am just so burnt out, mentally, emotionally, physically. Allowing myself to rest is important but I've been conditioned to believe rest makes me lazy. Its a tough battle to overcome.

Learning to allow myself rest is a process. I'm constantly struggling with the way rest makes me feel. The guilt. The shame. The constant need to explain myself to others and even to myself. I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Took the day off. Finished laundry. Finished a brick craft build. Reorganized shelves to accommodate the new builds. Was surprised with another set from 20. He's always been my Lego (and other building sets) kid so I think he's excited that I love them too. Repotted plants. Great day.
