Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Was searching for St.GIGA material when I saw a listing for Program Guides on Yahoo Japan. Only problem was that they were sold... three years ago. How painful. 000
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 05/10/2026That's fascinating. I imagine it was an effort to diversify considering the fact they were in severe debt only three years after launching the Tide of Sound broadcasts. Their debt didn't climb nearly as badly during the Nintendo years. 000

Hope you give it a read, it's made to be easier to understand than the Wikipedia page. #Satellaview #SNES project.satellaview.org/articles/202...project.satellaview.orgProject Satellaview - Satellaview - An ExplainerA large easy to understand round-up of information about Satellaview for those who aren't familiar, talking about what it was, how it was like to use it, and the games. 03111
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Lastly, if you were a listener of St.GIGA at any point between 1990 and 2006, please contact me. I would love to get your testimonials on how St.GIGA was when it was live, and I even plan on doing actual interviews when I get a budget. I may even launch a fundraiser. Please stay tuned! 100

Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026For the WINJ period, if you have any recordings, magazines, or letters please do not be afraid to let me know or share them. This period is almost certainly the least well documented due to the end of their analog broadcasting, and the constant technical issues that plagued them. 100
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Following their sale of Club COSMO in 2003, Wirebee would sell off their assets at a bankruptcy auction, including all of St.GIGA's equipment and 241 DAT tapes containing their raw nature recordings. Any info on the whereabouts or owner of these tapes is appreciated. 100
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Any radio broadcasts from 2000-2006 are also welcomed, as this is the period during which St.GIGA went bankrupt, got purchased by Wirebee, became Club Cosmo, and later got bought by WINJ before shutting down due to a lack of funds. 100
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026After they split off from Nintendo, St.GIGA launched program guides in 2000, and published them until 2003, when they rebranded to Club COSMO. Their new guide, COSMO DREAM, was printed from March to October 2003. If you have a copy you'd be willing to scan, or have scanned, please share them! 100

Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Next, any content from their broadcasts between the periods of 1993 and 1994 before the launch of the Nintendo Satellaview. These years are considered a turning point as the station supposedly moved away from their classic tide-table towards a more contemporary sound, which alienated many listeners. 110
Broken Thumb! Pictures @brokenthumbpics.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Starting off strong, St.GIGA launched two ads in 1991. The first one is preserved well, but most people don't know about the second, which only exists in poor quality with the wrong soundtrack. Any help finding a better copy with sound is much appreciated. youtu.be/9P53UHYTg7w youtu.be/s6OWBFjDLyoyoutube.comSt.GIGA CM #2 with Nagaharu Yodogawa (1991)YouTube video by Broken Thumb!
