Kala Paint is out! I'm @olawson.bsky.social , professional artist for 15 years, then game dev, now wrote the painting software I wish I'd been using all this time. GPU-run creamy brushes, no subscription, no gen AI crap, hand-coded with ideas from artists in our Discord, and more added weekly!

I don't have the spoons to try and talk about the extent of how much I care about animals getting proper stimulation and enrichment through various means within the confines of 300 characters, sorry.

I found a 3d printed/TPU head I really like, but I'm curious about sewing the patterns together first vs gluing them straight on?

I wish companies stuck to the Trolls 2 movie model so I could still PAY to see a new movie without going to the theater

I'll see if I can grab a clip of it at all, but I recall it being really respectful and they never dropped her deadname (if they did, that's my flawed memory, there) She's got a rainbow plaque in Leeds

I also really like the recently printed graphic novel version that's drawn by Joe Sutphin!

It wasn't until I watched the special features to my Watership Down disc that I learned that the composer was (passed away 2009) a trans woman and that's pretty awesome

When it comes to sorting what to keep and not keep in moving, art supplies are THE HARDEST for me to let go of How are they both so so accessible, but also so precious?

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
