I don't disagree. But terrible oppression instituted by the national structure and can overwhelm communities with scant resources & corruption can occur in any space. But at its foundation, yes. Institute change that works for members of the community in a small way and it can spread from there.

Texas seems to be the epicenter of the hollowing out of our education system, which might result in collapse if it continues. This has spread like a plague from Texas into the Midwest. Republicans want constituents who lack analytical & critical skills; who'll believe whatever propaganda they hear.

This equates to a roughly 70 hour work week, 12 months per year for $25,000. They want to teach, but many instructors in red states are living in their cars. It's not sustainable. And it's offensive to those who have earned multiple degrees, often taking on debt, to become educators.

In America's red states adjunct instructors often go into debt for teaching. In a red state you can teach eight classes in four institutions across the region (meaning hours of driving per day along w/ fuel costs involved) and earn barely $25,000/year. It's a disastrous education model.
