The Nightmare King from Little Nemo is the first thing I remember being genuinely terrified of, to the point that despite hyperfixating on it as a kid, I HAD to have a parent in the room with me whenever he appeared.

The Nightmare King in his cave-like castle from Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. He's a big black Satanic-looking demon guy with glowing red eyes and enshrouded in a black cloak.

Reasons to watch You and I are Polar Opposites:

Whoever approved this Devimon just immaculately serving deserves a raise

Devimon card by Naoki Akamine for the Digimon card game.

Devimon is a lanky demon Digimon in what looks like a full-body black bondage suit with thick black belts around its waist, arms and left thigh, brown spiked belts around its left lower leg and hand, and a skull image on its right knee and left shoulder. On its chest is a large red stylized bat, and two large bat wings sprout from its back. Its pale grey face is covered by a red-eyed hood with two long bull horns sticking out the side.

Devimon is hanging upside-down in a dramatically artistic pose with both legs bent while pointing upward. The background appears to be a rundown gothic cathedral.

Y'know it's kinda wild that despite being absolutely obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog growing up, I never once tried making my own Sonic OC. So I said "fuck it" and finally made one! More info about him in the alt text.

Freki the Wolf, my totally original Sonic OC Do Not Steal. He's a grey wolf with black markings on the tips of his ears and tail, black "socks" on his hands and feet, and a red stripe on his head. He's wearing orange racing goggles, a black and red puff vest, white gloves with yellow tongues, and red and black boots with gold plates on their tops. He's holding an orange Extreme Gear with a yellow starburst marking on the nose.

Facts about Freki:
-Aspiring pro Extreme Gear racer
-Big dork energy
-Shadow fanboy
-Dyes the red stripe himself
-Would absolutely embarrass himself if he ever met Shadow
-Has an older brother

Binged the first 4 eps of Kamen Rider MY-TH tonight. That first ep was a seriously rough intro with that heavy use of low-budget cgi, and I'm super glad they haven't done much more of it. Bad cgi isn't new to KR, but it shines so much brighter when it sticks to practical effects and minimum cgi imho

An image of Kamen Rider MY-TH(pronounced "mice") in a superhero landing pose. He wears a silver/grey suit with blue hilights and silver armor. His helmet is built to look like the silhouette of a mouse, with large bars coming out in the shape of mouse ears and lights on the faceplate that look like whiskers.

Gonna be real honest here, this thing looks like ass. I know it's a cheap-ass McDonald's toy, but this is a stark disparity in quality compared to the Godzilla x Hello Kitty collab that JUST finished. Like that is a wild drop in quality 😬

A cheap McDonald's toy of Barnacle Boy from Spongebob Squarepants cosplaying as Koby from One Piece. The quality of the toy is terrible with paint bleeding in nearly every seam and the design being incredibly incongruent.

Three Godzilla x Hello Kitty McDonald's toys. From left to right:

My Melody dressed as Destroyah
Chococat dressed as SpaceGodzilla
PomPom Purin dressed as Gigan

The quality and designs are noticably better and more coherent compared to the previous image.

What's an obscure video game you remember playing at one point that most people would be like "never heard of it"? The most obscure game I can think of is Dark Rift for N64. It was a really shitty bare-bones fighting game and has the noteriety of being the first ever 60fps game on the N64 lol.

Box art for the fighting game Dark Rift for the Nintendo 64. It features two of the playable fighters battling in a rocky alien terrain. The first character is Gore, a bulky humanoid that looks like a greenish version of Thing from Fantastic 4 wielding a battleaxe. The second is the backside of what looks like Eve, a femenine robotic humanoid made of golden metal wielding a glowing green rapier.

Okay man. I don't normally relate to characters on such a deeply emotional level, but after todays episode this mf is hittin' so close to home that it's starting to feel targeted.

Shuuji Taira from You and I are Polar Opposites. A male with short cropped brown hair and wearing a grey scarf over a dark navy jacket. He's sitting on a train and holding a grey backpack in his lap. The backpack has two pins on the upper left, one a pink dog or fox head and one a plain white circle with a japanese character written on it.

Mine are the Hermit and the Moon, and hoo boy do they have me pegged lmao

The Hermit, the 9th card of the Major Arcana in Tarot. Depicts an old man in grey robes holding a simple wooden staff in his left hand and raising a lantern in his right. He stands at the peak of a mountain. Within the lantern is a glowing six-point star.

The Moon, the 18th card in the Major Arcana of Tarot. Depicts the moon risen between two large grey towers. Beneath the moon is a pathway cutting through the middle of a grassy field and leading to a body of water. On the left side of the path is a domestic dog. On the right, a wild wolf. Crawling out of the water is a lobster or crawfish.

Local Half-Price Books had the goods today! A Pathfinder GM's Screen for CHEAP cheap, the daggum Pathfinder Beta Playtest book, and Final Fantasy 9 baybee!!!

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Beta Playtest rulebook by Jason Bulmahn. This was released in 2008 at Gen Con and was the second playtest ever released by Paizo and the very first physically published book for Pathfinder. It's a super cool part of Pathfinder's history!

The cover shows Seoni, Pathfinder's Sorcerer Icon(the character representing the class in official media/publications), fighting a massive White Dragon. Seoni is a tan-skinned human with shoulder-length blonde hair, wearing a red and gold-trimmed robe that exposes much of her tattooed skin with a heavy black fur cloak. She wields a long wooden staff with the end wreathed in flames as she casts a magic spell.

Cover for the official Pathfinder Game Master Screen, featuring three Icons. From left to right:

Seoni, the Sorcerer Icon. She is a tan skinned human woman with shoulder-length platinum blonde hair. She wears a blue scarf with what look to be runes along its length, a red dress with gold trim that exposes much of her tattooed body, a black cincher around her waist, red and gold trimmed seperated sleeves, and red leggings over heavy leather boots.

Valeros, the Fighter Icon. He is a white human male with shoulder-length, slicked back dark brown hair and a rugged demeanor. He wears a golden breastplate over blue chainmail, a heavy chainmail skirt, and heavy leather boots. He holds a sword in each hand, one longer than the other, and a bow and quiver full of arrows are on his back.

Ezren, the Wizard Icon. He is a grumpy looking old human male with long white hair and a well-trimmed white beard/mustache combo. He wears blue robes over a simple cream colored tunic and dark pants, and heavy leather boots. He wears several belts across his chest and waist full of bottles and pockets to hold magical items/ingredients.

The case for the Greatest Hits edition of Final Fantasy IX(9) for the original Playstation. It features the main team. From left to right:

Garnet Til Alexandros XVII / Dagger: A human girl with long brown hair wearing a white long-sleeve blouse under an orange jumper and brown gloves.

Vivi Ortinier: A Black Mage, a doll-like artificial being with a pitch-black face and large glowing yellow eyes. He wears a large yellowish wizard hat, a blue jacket with a high collar and large cuffed sleeves, brown gloves, and poofy clown-like striped pants held up by a thick belt with a large metal buckle.

Adelbert Steiner: A tall, heavily built human man. He wears a full set of medieval-style knight armor with a tall kettle hat and has a large sword strapped to his back.

Zidane Tribal: A young boy with shoulder-length blonde hair and a long, prehensile monkey tail. He wears a dark blue vest over a white sleeveless shirt and a light blue bowtie, blue jeans, and large cartoonish white gloves. On his hip is a musket-style handgun in a leather holster.

Amarant Coral: A large man with blue-tinged skin, long red dreadlocks and a sharp red goatee. He wears a simple green sleeveless tunic and pants, and large green armguards. Tied around his upper right arm is a red scarf.

You're also comparing the Master Sword, forged in the very earliest era of Hyrule's history, with an assumingly more modern sword VERY likely created more as a decoration than a proper weapon. Also, out of place in Twilight Princess of all games is quite a stretch imho.

Item artwork from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, featuring the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Ordon Shield, Wooden Shield, Slingshot, Dominion Rod, and Zelda's Bow of Light.

Raichu: Large yellow-orange kangaroo rat-like Pokemon with pointy brown ears, yellow cheecks, a white belly, and brown sock-like markings on its hands and feet. It has a long, thin black tail that ends in a large yellow lightning bolt shape.

Screenshot of my Final Fantasy 14 character Galen Thorburn sitting and looking up at the star-filled night sky thoughtfully. He is a Lalafell, a small elf-like humanoid with large pointed ears, short sandy blonde hair and bright green eyes with no visible iris. He's wearing the Antiquated Duelist Red Mage gear, which consists of a large red swashbuckler hat with white feather, a renaissance inspired duelist jacket and vest with white cravat, and black leather gloves.

YO WHY AM I JUST LEARNING MCDONALDS IS DOING A GODZILLA X HELLO KITTY HAPPY MEAL?!?! He's so doofy I love him

A McDonalds Happy Meal toy of Pompompurin in a Gigan suit.

Pompompurin is an anthropomorphized chibi-style yellow golden retriever with brown dot eyes wearing a reddish brown beret.

Gigan is a weird cross between a featherless chicken and a fish or lizard. He's bipedal with greenscales and a yellow belly with a sawblade protruding from it, three giant sail-like fins on his back(two of which let him fly), and two arms that end in giant metal scythes. His head is the most chicken-like with a metal beak but also two sharp tooth-like mandibles on either side. He has a single Cylon-like horizontal red eye, and three spikes on his head going down towards his back.

Pompompurin's face is peaking out of Gigans mouth with his ears poking out the sides of Gigans head, and his beret on top next to Gigans top spike.
