My stablemate Max Austin’s new book is out today! It’s a great way to explore how our LGBTQ+ lives shape and are shaped by social change, and feels like a pint in your local with your mates. Brassy, comforting, and emotionally resonant. I hope you enjoy it.

In 2022 I launched a new literary prize for writer-carers (UK & ROI), the #Curae award. A wealth of wonderful prizes from across industry, publication and many entries. The second prize opened 1/02/25 and so far we have far fewer entries. There are around 7million unpaid carers: industry PLEASE help

@jackstrangeauthor.bsky.social Hi Jack, I hope all’s well. I’ve got a bit of a cheeky request. I have an LGBTQ reimagining of P&P coming out next March, and if you ever do ARC reviews would you have the time to do one for me? I’m happy to reciprocate if helpful. All the best, Alex

Here's a reminder of the site. Have a look at the prizes in the 'What you can win' area. I am sure these will be added to, as well. You can enter previously unpublished poetry, nonfiction or fiction (all details on the site) and it's judged blind. It is, OF COURSE, free to enter. Big love, Bookworm

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!
