Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 4hYes it’s the right wing press coming for Burnham and his relationship with Abu Dhabi. But you can’t blame them. If this were Farage so close to such a hugely fraudulent regime the Guardian would be all over it. As it’s Burnham, not a word. #media 010

Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 7h“I would be really concerned to lose them,” Burnham said. “They’ve been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester, and the building of Manchester City into a global force” But they cheated for a decade, Andy. They are corrupt. Very Trumpian to ignore fraud in a business partner. 712734

Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 18hI don’t want politicians emoting on stage. Or telling me what they might do in 3 years. I don’t care about them tinkering with small tax changes. I want them to initiate a return to the EU, nationalise water, stop media platform lies and increase tax on very wealthy. Burnham is a waste of time. 5194
Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 19h‘I want to look at the options…..We could stay as we are. That’s definitely an option,’ says Andy Burnham. There is not a chance in Hell the country will rejoin the EU under this leader. But if you believe, please go on believing. #EU #Labour 351

Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Their reputation is fucked whatever outcome or ‘punishment’ materialises. The trophies are tainted and the club poison to neutrals. What on earth was the point of it all? Some rich people know the price of everything and the value of nothing, as they say. 091
Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 29/09/2026So now we know what Burnham's Labour will be running on in 2029, what's the plan for the next 3 years? Exploratory committees? Laying groundwork? It won't work. Either hold an election very soon or do stuff now. There's not a chance this fobbing off into the future will hold until 2029. 140

Brian @brianscant.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Sadiq is right. This ‘we’ll put it in manifesto for the 2029 election’ bullshit for every significant policy means nothing will happen now and nothing will happen then because Labour will be out of power with this ‘strategy’.
