Brian McCallister @brianm.dev · 01/02/2026What is the interaction model? Queue up input in something expect-like? Nominate a leader you interact with and then try to replay it as long as it matches exactly and stop/highlight as soon as output differs? 100
Reposted by Brian McCallisterMads Toftum @q42.bsky.social · 01/02/2026I've found the broadcast especially useful when exploring hosts looking for differences. Switching to host specific when a host gets different results and back for the next steps. 111
Brian McCallister @brianm.dev · 01/02/2026Though I just realized it is not capturing/logging *input*! Another item to fix :-) 010
Brian McCallister @brianm.dev · 01/02/2026I like the broadcast interaction idea! Per host logs are already there. It sets up a directory per host, generates a script which actually executes things, and captures output and run metadata in it. You can specify to keep that stuff when it finishes, instead of the default delete-on-completion 210
Brian McCallister @brianm.dev · 01/02/2026Super un-optimized, but very convenient. The biggest thing is that it shows a unified view of the outputs from different hosts and allows you to drill into where they differ. It has other niceties, like running the sessions in tmux so you can interact, etc. writeup at skife.org/b4/bdsh/skife.orgBrian's Waste of Time 110

Brian McCallister @brianm.dev · 26/10/2025Am with you. Have been Claude Coding epithet v2 and am very impressed so far. It designs poorly but codes quickly. I can do the design, it can crank code implementing it way faster than I could, and the code is not bad (not great either), but it doesn’t mind getting instructions on what to fix! 120
