I’d say today Anas Sarwar destroyed any faint hope that the Labour Party had in Scotland in the election. It’s not just Starmer who’s no good at politics.

Some people touch your life and inspire you and give you hope in a dark place. Jeanne Freeman was one such person. Devastated by her sudden death. She worked for the good of others and we are the poorer for her passing. Deep condolences to those who loved her. www.scotsman.com/news/politic...

This letter has been on my mind for a long time. So many people reaching out and so many stories from different health boards. Something has to change. It’s not just about the QEUH and infections. That’s been just one symptom of a deeper malaise.

From my experience the INWO experiment for external whistleblowing for the Scottish NHS is not fit for purpose. It was very well intentioned by Jeanne Freeman. Unfortunately they report to the board CEO and cannot insist on actions = chocolate teapot - non transparent lacking stringent oversight

It’s really not enough to claim “new team” optimism @johnswinney.bsky.social Who in the top team has had nothing to do with the clear and embedded positioning of NHS GGC prior to last week’s Scottish Hospitals Inquiry hearing? Regarding both facts re building and whistleblowers.

Surgery at the end of this week. So I’m concocting my own prehabilitation programme. A nice stroll around Rosehaugh Estate on the Black Isle. A ruin now. But absolutely enchanting.

I’m reading Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Giuffre. It’s sickening. All of it. This level of abuse could never have gone on without others knowing, staying silent and being casual witnesses. This ‘action’ by the ‘Palace’ is utter bullshit. We need a “No King” movement in the UK

We were a downstairs family. My mother was a cleaner in the mansion of the descendants of Robert The Bruce. I think there’s a thing in Irish emigrants who loved the aristocracy. She loved that job. I think it would have been unusual for a catholic to have been employed there.

The faux rage about Jereth Kok hasn't yet arrived here from X. But to be clear, calling colleagues 'baby killers', opining that COVID vaccines are made from murdered babies and endorsing the gassing of 'inferior races' means he's been struck off for unprofessionalism, not because he's 'Christian'.

An Aussie doctor has been found guilty of professional misconduct.

Not for harming patients.

But for posting Christian views, including memes & satire from
@TheBabylonBee, on social media.

Yes, that can now cost you your medical licence in Australia.

Meet Dr Jereth Kok.

The post is appended with a picture of the (ex) doctor and a sample masthead from the Babylon Bee that pokes fun at gender diversity.

The ‘Physician’s Associates’/ ‘Physician’s Assistants’ is 🔥 just now. But from an NHS PR view and frequent flyer patient the ‘A’ word doesn’t matter I’ve never used the term ‘Physician’ much. I’ve not heard many doctors use it either. Nor patients. Maybe that needs to change? Doctor’s Assistant?
