Well that was a decisive trend overnight. Latest DeepMind members indicate an increasing risk for the first Atlantic hurricane of the season to approach the Gulf Coast this weekend. Still a lot to sort out. The Gulf is warm but shear will be high.

NOT A FORECAST, but the 06Z DeepMind shows a much tighter track for the Gulf tropical system, with potential landfall from the mouth of the Mississippi to the western Florida panhandle.
