If anyone is going to an iPhone Duo Workshop or has access to a Duo in the next week or so and can do me a really quick favor, I’d really appreciate it. My DMs are open.

But both those chains are dying. Mergers and acquisitions really is like corporations needing to take on a roommate.

These numbers are also just Open Router. It does not include OpenAI or Anthropic. If we had their numbers it may also show major increases, but also could show a major shift to Open Router and open weight models which leaves behind the top 2 AI companies. #AI

On a larger scale, according to Kevin Devlin, the author of The Math Gene in the year 1900 all of the world's knowledge of mathematics would fit in 1,000 books. Now it would be all over 100,000. Human knowledge has expanded so much recently. www.goodreads.com/en/book/show... #TheMathGene

Have you seen the explosion of token processing over the past 2 years? You can see it directly on the Open Router website. openrouter.ai/rankings#top... #AI #OpenRouter

Rivian is set to expand to a 2nd shift for producing the R2 which will increase deliveries heading into next year. It is projected to reach 155,000 vehicles next year. It could be a break out year for the EV maker. www.sec.gov/Archives/edg... #Rivian

Slate is expecting to start deliveries this month as well. That is a super affordable electric pickup truck which strips all the modern electronics which drive up the price beyond reasonable affordability. www.prnewswire.com/news-release... #Slate #ev

This year global sales of gas cars dropped under 50% for the first time. That is an encouraging milestone. electrek.co/2026/10/05/g... #electricvehicles

The last one, so far, is basic ghost. Boo!

Here’s a wolf and moon light which I think looks great.

It was made over 6 years ago, so before generative AI. Given how the big Hollywood studios are merging and restricting the type of content being made, it would be great for artists to produce and publish on their own. Use the modern tools to their advantage and break away from big studios.

OpenAI released their own implementation of a decision endpoint to match Jev. The difference with Laya is running it on device so there is no network latency. With the Go port it has even less latency. What would you do with it? #laya #system1model

Brennan @brennan.sstools.co · 01/10/2026

Jev started something. I created System 1 Arcade using Laya which was made with Python and took a while to load. I've now ported it to Go and it loads quickly and it leverages Accelerate and Metal on macOS. Now it is very fast with lower latency per decision. #jev github.com/brennanMKE/l...

I think they paused training the large models. Sonnet and Opus are just distilled and trained from Mythos/Fable which is a much safer and more predictable outcome. The surprises from the massive frontier models at the high end.

Me, My Ego, The Lucas Museum, and Star Wars

To see one of those artists who had a piece featured at the launch of this museum, check out his video on YouTube. David lives in San Francisco as does Adam Savage. We should celebrate the work of these artists. youtu.be/-YRQtnt9Xno?...

Inside LA's Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, George Lucas' $1B vanity project

It is disappointing that so much of our news skews so negative. A museum dedicated to all of the creative work done by thousands of people over decades being trivialized by @sfgate.com as a vanity project is extremely insulting. www.sfgate.com/la/article/l...

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is ridiculous, sincere and completely worth it.

Returning with this view was a perfect end to our day trip.

There were so many people there. I recommend making the trip. We went by ferry this time which was so scenic.

I miss my Boombox. I would take it and my basketball to an outdoor court and shoot around with the music blasting.

No, absolutely not. Canada, you’ve lost it!

Is it Nathan Fielder? It’s Nathan Fielder for sure.

It’s getting festive in the Castro. #SanFrancisco
