Book 28 of 32 for my 2026 Reading Challenge. Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. 8.2 out of 10. Was engrossed the whole time, read it over the course of 3 or 4 days. Nailed the creepy/uncanny vibes and loved the twisted nature side and secrecy. The pacing felt a bit off to me but otherwise great!

I have this problem a lot. people backing away because they don't know what to say. I'm very masculine in a lot of mannerisms and I wish I could just be "one of the guys" again but with a little asterisk that says *treat me the same, I'm just a girl now.
