I read through a fair bit of my manuscript this week and am really happy with how it's shaping up. However, the second half of the book is not as strong and I can already see some changes I'll have to work on to bring it together. that's next week's challenge. #writingupdate #amwriting

Youtube, Meta and Tiktok all suppressing free speech by blocking adverts for a Musk documentary with the reason being "political content." I'm not too sure how this would fall into the political ad category, but anyway let's hope the documentary makes an impact.

I saw it while seeking contemporary Aboriginal music to show my (very young) students, because in teaching Aboriginal culture I think we emphasise the past too much, and my students were curious about the present. I viewed it in this great selection.

Macklemore just announced he’s donating the $1 million he made from Sheeran’s tour to 6 organizations to support Palestinians and he’s asking Robert Kraft to match it. This is just the first part announcing it.
With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom.
I will be donating the entire $1 million of my net earnings from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations working directly to support the Palestinian people. And I invite Robert Kraft to match my donation. Whatever we disagree about, perhaps we can agree on this: Palestinian lives are worth protecting. A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any other life on this earth.

I recently finished The Spear Cuts through Water by Simon Jimenez and it was STUNNING. The world was luscious and raw and violent and the prose gorgeous. It was told in one of the most fascinating structures I have ever experienced! It's a must- read

A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid was meticulous crafted. The main character was both strikingly confident in who she was and what she knows about the world, while also self-doubting herself and never been sure of what was real-which made for great tension. What a gripping read! #yafantasy #booksky
