Dr Sara Stoneham has been appointed the Specialty Lead for Rare Cancers by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The position was created under the Rare Cancers Act, which enshrined in law commitments to improve research, access to clinical trials and pathways to drug approval.

In December 2023, 19-year-old Joscelyne was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumour and given a prognosis of just 12 to 18 months. Determined not to let it define her, she joined a drug trial and has continued to live by her motto: go big or go home. 💛 news.stv.tv/east-central...
