Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Beat Silksong. Not sure how to rate it. It was very good, but I feel like it has been so long since I played Hollow Knight that I am not sure I can compare them accurately. Between Nine Sols and Blasphemous 2 that I beat recently, I'd put it just below Nine Sols, and well above B2. Will play again. 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 12/07/2026We are getting some kind of twisted version of Chanukah out of Mitch McConnell's death. It is like I get to enjoy him dying for 30 days instead of just one. Which is exactly the kind of death he deserves. 020
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Our little bird-killer, Squirt, passed away last night due to her thyroid problems. She had an unfortunate name, and a big heart. Was always talkative and affectionate and loved giving headbutts and making biscuits. Going to miss her a lot. RIP little one. 110
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 25/06/2026Silksong update: Silksong good. I still don't like the angled pogo though. 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Finally playing Silksong. I like it so far, but boy, I am not a fan of the angled pogo. Had to map a down + attack macro to make it feel decent. I can kind of see why a lot of people had complaints just because of that. 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Played through Blasphemous 2. Good stuff, but it did lose something of the tone from the first that felt like a step down. Totally worth a playthrough though, solid Metroidvania. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 11/06/2026I'm not invested in Nintendo enough to truly care, but it does bother me a little bit that we have the technology to make them look like the old puppets but are apparently too cowardly to do so. 020

Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 07/06/2026Realized I haven't read a book in a long time and picked up Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami that has been unread on my shelf for ages. One of those moments where life and art feel a little too close for comfort. Love it, but I see myself in there and I feel attacked =P 000

Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 27/05/2026I've only really read the manga and seen random bits from the anime, but man the animation gets so wild at times. I still can't believe OP has maintained such high quality for so long. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 25/05/2026Just now realizing Alanis Morisette was only 21 when she made Jagged Little Pill. Honestly insane to be that talented at such an age. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Due to the recent death of Yuji Ohno, I've seen a lot of fans posting works of his that I never knew about because all I really knew from him was Lupin III. Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 19/04/2026I started reading Dan Da Dan, and so far it feels a lot like a shonen version Gantz. It is pretty decent, but the hype has felt somewhat overblown. I guess the animation is impressive from what I've heard, but I haven't seen any of that yet. 110
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 02/04/2026Just caught up on the One Piece manga, and I actually can't believe how good Oda actually is at these insanely long flashbacks. Skypiea's absolutely devastated me back in the day, and the Rocks flashback hit just as hard. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 24/03/2026NGL. Feels hard to wrap my head around how the new cycle could ever move on from the fact that we bombed a school in Iran, multiple times, on purpose. I feel like there's just no coming back from that one. How the hell can this country ever recover that basic failing of conscience? 000

Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 14/03/2026My only financial advice is that people should probably track Barron Trump's stock/crypto activity for the foreseeable future. The level of self-dealing/insider trading from these people is grotesque. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 14/03/2026Agree with pretty much all of this except the panels bleeding into the gutter and manga thing. Bleeding can be used for good effects. Manga/comics are technically the same but culturally distinct. 000

Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 09/03/2026Decided to watch the OG Gundam because I've never watched it in full. So far it feels rough and old, as expected, but it is honestly insanely impressive considering their budget and the horrible crunch of the animation industry at the time. 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Yeah... checking twitter really has become an exercise in nothing now. Even moreso than it was. All I see on that feed today is people claiming that Jim Carrey was cloned... 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 27/02/2026Just realized my new-ish Cintiq came with a hidden felt nib so I don't have to buy any yet. Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 23/02/2026Going to try and use Bluesky slightly more again because Twitter has actually become pretty much unusable now. Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 13/06/2025After seeing some of my brother's ChatGPT logs, I can only hope that all of these AI companies are sued into oblivion for how they amplify delusional people's most dangerous impulses. I thought he was in a bad state. It is far worse than I realized. Messiah complex, paranoid delusions, etc. 000
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 12/06/2025Every day that I spend in close proximity to my brother is going to take years off my life. I really can't describe how exhausting it is to be around someone at this level of delusion all the time. Plus, he can't control the volume of his voice and actually still breaks through my Bose headphones. 010
Dana @brainpipe.bsky.social · 11/06/2025He currently hunches over ChatGPT all day, looking like Gollum coveting the ring.
