writing PSA, goodwill is an expendable resource, and writing pure nonsensical narrative convenience spends it, exponentially so if you do repetitively without breaks in major plot beats. if you write an interesting story with heart you can get away with a lot, but at least go for different tricks

reached the big ending of Hades 2 and, hm. I enjoy it, but i cannot help but feel it would be better served by ending there, without the trappings of infinity, which is a bit sad after hades 1 made such a strong argument for roguelike storytelling being wholly possible and good.
