A growing pet peeve here is this inconsistency in accepted payment processes. Some places will be cash only, some mobile payment only, and it’s always a coin flip going to new places. Especially cafes. Regardless, by the end of the month, ONE of my budgeted spending streams will have run out.

I keep seeing people throw out the term "Covid Correction" for the mass layoffs we continue to see in the games industry. We're beyond that. It's far beyond the mass hiring during Covid. It's mismanagement, poor trend chasing, cuts of departments to use AI (not as much but happening), etc.

The off-season flu is really going around and thought to be brought in by tourists. It could be as simple as people with relatives in care not wanting to take the risk. Could also be them escaping the person on the other side of them and not you. Especially if they’re hearing sniffles or coughing.
