I keep seeing people throw out the term "Covid Correction" for the mass layoffs we continue to see in the games industry. We're beyond that. It's far beyond the mass hiring during Covid. It's mismanagement, poor trend chasing, cuts of departments to use AI (not as much but happening), etc.

Look, they even have parasols for geeks like us. I can’t recommend it enough as a necessary item in the summer in Japan, even for men. It cuts the sweat by half when I’m walking somewhere. It’s like sitting under the shade of a tree, but you get to bring it with you.

My 3DS battery is acting up on me. :/ Sometimes the power button will just instantly turn off the 3DS rather than prompt the shut down. Each time, it resets the internal clock. Likely only really noticing it now that I’m playing New Leaf and the days are flying around.

Playing Animal Crossing New Leaf, my first time ever playing an Animal Crossing game. Admittedly, I only know of the AC characters and world from Smash Bros. (I may be one of few who reads trophies. Trophy text makes for really good Japanese study, actually!) Pretty enamored by it so far!
