Wrong question. The EU would be willing to have the EU back BUT---and it's a big BUT---it has to be on the same terms as other members. Special deals, opt-outs, forget it. So the real question isn't, 'Would the EU have us back?' but 'Are we willing to agree to the terms of membership?'

Brian Leishman replaced an excellent SNP MP, John Nicolson, famous for his interrogations in media stuff (Nadine D Ofcom etc). Leishman got voted in on his Grangemouth stance and Labour was doing better in the polls in general because of the GTTO campaign. He's not an innocent bystander.

Here we are Schengen allows the UK to have a secure border via EU security databases. Euro allows the UK to have financial stability via a reserve currency. In the other place, 'remainers' are saying neither Schengen or the Euro are required Brexiters are saying they are. (both are required)

A lot of hypocrisy is going on re the UK's " Made in Europe " objections: they could copy the EU tariffs on Chinese EV's and create a level playing field but it's 0%. Probably because: Cars getting more expensive; They want Chinese investment; Creating a backdoor to undermine the EU is fine.

Yup and tonight on C4 he talks as if Scotland doesn’t exist but as we know Scotland voted to Remain in the EU and were dragged out despite 60% of folk voting to stay in. Another issue is with him constantly talking about Britain when he talks about water. Excluding the fact Scotland owns its water!
