i was recently reminded of "yolo coding"

good point:

"yolo coding", starts out easier and progressively gets harder

ECS on the other hand has a harder start

My main notion on this is that in the context of MOST indie games, the point where ECS becomes a better investment is never reached.

Love to see it!! Thanks for making art that made me uncomfortable, somehow in a more unsettling way than the reference point you mentioned earlier, berserker's end of golden age did... it's so much harder to disassociate when you're in the shoes of the, uh, perpetrator! also LMAO THAT FINAL PAGE

for real tho. i have a tendency to try to make all game elements fit together like a neat interlocking 4D puzzle. in this idealized version of the game, everything is "essential". obviously this is a bad habit. i should let myself to add in weird unrelated dead ends!! neat design is overrated!!
