I saw Glen Hansard perform a cover of “Beneath the Southern Cross” at a rehearsal show for a Patti Smith tribute concert last year in NYC. It was the most intense live vocal performance I’d ever heard, and the energy in the room was not something I knew could even exist. What a tragic loss.

Wild couple of days for me. Shot a video w/ Melissa Etheridge in Nashville on Friday, flew back the next morning to attend a red carpet event at the Tribeca Film Festival for the film Last Minute (I wrote the score to it), and I got food poisoning at the airport along the way. Missed the premiere.
