If you want a bat for Halloween, might I suggest one of our hand made leather critters. No taxidermy, and our leather is a by-product of the beef industry, so no endangered species. Plus, they're posable, and can be used as a key ring or bag charm! In a variety of colors. FrostnEmberCreations.com

Good morning, #IthacaFarmersMarket! Today is cool and there's rain of one sort or another forecast all day. It doesn't seem to have kept people away, it's fairly busy here today! We're in booth 60, which is new for us. The critter display today is fricken' bats! We're across from the crepes. Yum!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! We're in booth 22 today. It's a breezy day with a threat of rain, and frankly, it's a little cold! It's also Apple Fest downtown, so crowds here might be reduced; not a bad time to visit! We're across from coffee and next to yummy Thai food.

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a cool morning with drizzle and rain forecast for the day; wet and gloomy, suiting the beginning of Fall. We're in booth 59, opposite the crepes and next to the hats. Crowds should be manageable today because of the weather, so do come see us!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! Like Odysseus, we have faced down a bunch of suitors and returned! We're in booth 40 today, looking forward to the cooler weather and pleasant breezes off the inlet. College is in full swing, so we expect lots of customers!

I don't need more clients right now, but I'm told that I should ABM (Always Be Marketing), so I need new business cards. I need to remove the link to Twitter, obvs, and I don't think I need the Facebook link either, so maybe I can simplify the back. What would you expect on a card like this?
A front and back view of a business card. The front reads Dingo Dad Gaming, Mike Timonin, PhD, dingo.dad.games@gmail.com, and features a logo of a dingo climbing a trio of interlocking Ds. The back has 3 QR codes for Twitter, Facebook, and Start Playing. The card is a soft dove grey with rounded corners

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a grey day this morning, and it should stay cool today. We're all the way down in booth 25 today, which is normally a coffee booth, so hopefully our customers won't be too disappointed or decafinated...

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a cool damp kind of day, which is a nice change? Anyway, long time fans will recognize that we're back in booth 27, where we were all last year, right across from the burritos and the wine tasting. Come down and check it out!

Some years ago, I invented a cocktail that I call The Second Breakfast. It's 2 shots of rye, 1 shot of Amaretto, 1 shot of cold brew coffee, 1 shot of cream, and one bar spoon (or more) of maple syrup. We have maple syrup that we made, so I made one tonight.
A glass of creamy beverage.

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! August is pretending to be fall this weekend, so it's not alarmingly warm and there's a bit of a breeze - nice under the roof! And we are under the roof this week, in the distant circle. The food smells fantastic! Come and find us!

@ltimonin.bsky.social found a new toy on Facebook marketplace, so we're finally boiling the maple sap we gathered in the spring (it's been in the freezer!). We started with maybe 10 gallons, and will probably end up with 2 or 3 cups of actual syrup... But I can use the rig to boil wort for homebrew!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a lovely day, sunny but not too hot under the trees. And we ARE under the trees; we had to break out the tent as we're on the waterfront today. Come take a look at our stuff after you eat your snacks on a bench or picnic table!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a grey day, with a strong promise of rain, but it's nice right now; a gentle breeze off the inlet and the noises of vendors setting up. We're in a new booth today, #55! We're still close to the dock with food and wine nearby. Come find us!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a grey Sunday, and I'm gambling on the weather staying cool (I'm in jeans!) We're back in booth 59, right by the entrance, so I'm expecting good sales or at least lots of traffic. Last time we were in this booth we almost sold out of the critters...

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's kinda perfect today; cool and mostly clear - but WINDY! And, maybe, more cold than cool - I'm in jeans in July! We're back in booth 50, down by the dock. That means we'll have music, perhaps. It's likely to be quiet today; Grassroots Festival this weekend!

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a cool but sunny morning - it should warm up over the day, but hopefully we'll have breezes from the inlet. We're in booth 50 again, down by the dock, so there will be music and boat passengers. Like the chair, I get lonely - come visit!

In less medically sensitive truck testicles news, I also saw a fawn earlier this week while guarding the crossing! I didn't disturb it, and I didn't point it out to the kids, but I did mention it to a mom returning from dropping off her kids. It seemed healthy and had relocated by the afternoon.
A tangle of plants next to a wooden fence. A tree branch arches overhead. Not quite visible, a baby deer hidden in a nest in the plants. Maybe you can see its ears if you zoom in...The same tangle of plants, but now you can see the fawn! It has stood up to see if the loud truck that just passed is a threat. It is not, and the fawn will return to its nest.

My good friend and player (for 6 years?) @qponterio.bsky.social has sent me some FANTASTIC art of the principal characters in our long running D&D campaign. Also some dice and some pins and some stickers... They are amazingly creative, and you should commission them!
A series of character portraits in a group image. In the back, from left to right, Zenith is a red headed elf in a sunflower sundress. Equitea is a wood and metal warforged reading a book. Zel is in profile, a wooden warforged looking up at their vulture. Grym is a purple tiefling with dual weapons drawn. Tiv is a small figure standing on a robotic cat.

Second row, Holly is a dark skinned halfling looking at a flame in their hand. In the middle of the image, Kurash is a large orc with an even larger dog (Burash) leaning on his shoulder. Tradhos is an orcish bard with mandolin.

Front row, Nym is a purple skinned person with a large tooth impaling their chest. Teagan is a brown skinned elf in a great coat and a Captain's hat. Tethys is a dark blue skinned water genasi in a long coat with a flag on the sleeve. And Cass is an elf in black with a raven on his arm.

Above the picture, three images. An open book on the left, a shield with an eye in the middle and waves on the right. Below the picture, two flags: one with crossed swords under a skull with a sparkling eye, the other a nautilus shell. Between them, a ships wheel.

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! It's a cool and wet Sunday, but it's nicer than yesterday. It's Cornell graduation this weekend - congratulations to the grads! - so it might be busy here as folks get a last trip to the market in before leaving. We're back in # 32, across from the grilled cheese!

A man breaking his journey between one place and another at a third place of no name, character, population or significance, sees a unicorn cross his path and disappear. That in itself is startling, but there are precedents for mystical encounters of various kinds, or to be less extreme, a choice of persuasions to put it down to fancy; until--"My God," says a second man, "I must be dreaming, I thought I saw a unicorn." At which point, a dimension is added that makes the experience as alarming as it will ever be. A third witness, you understand, adds no further dimension but only spreads it thinner, and a fourth thinner still, and the more witnesses there are the thinner it gets and the more reasonable it becomes until it is as thin as reality, the name we give to the common experience... "Look, look!" recites the crowd. "A horse with an arrow in its forehead! It must have been mistaken for a deer.
