Here's a rough estimate of your recurring and non-reccuring expenses that you should keep in mind.

Bookmundo @bookmundo.com · 27/08/2026
💶 BUDGET Your budget will determine the type of marketing you do. It can be done both cheaply and expensively, but nevertheless investing in marketing will largely help you. You should still post about your book and stay active, but an investment can help those efforts actually take off.
100
Bookmundo @bookmundo.com · 27/08/2026
📅 TIMELINE Your first timeline can be very simple, but it will help you stay on track and strike the right marketing cord at the exact right moment. The one non-negotiable point is the publishing date: you should pick it ahead of time, and it will keep you accountable and on track.

Disclaimer: by reaching we mean promoting your book in spaces where your target audience gathers. For example, posting about your launch in different dedicated subreddits, under specific TikTok hashtags.
100
Bookmundo @bookmundo.com · 27/08/2026
Finding the perfect target audience for your books is what will make it successful. Get specific about your reader. For example, "fantasy readers" are not a target audience. Be specific. Give this person a name. What is their hobby? Are they on TikTok? Youtube? How can you reach them?
100
Bookmundo @bookmundo.com · 27/08/2026
Step one may seem simple but it really matters. Ask yourself: why are you publishing? - Is it to build a personal brand? - Or to earn money? - To promote your business? - Or just for the love of it? All answers are valid and make the starting point of your marketing approach.

This might be chaotic, but here is our 'things you use as a bookmark' tier list! #BookSky #Books #WritingCommunity
Tier list titled 'Things you use as a bookmark'. Superior tier: a receipt from the shop you bought it at, a postcard someone sent you, a pressed flower or leaf. A tier: an actual bookmark, a sticky note with your own annotations, a library card. B tier: a pen or pencil laid across the page, a hair tie, a folded piece of paper. C tier: folding the page, glasses, a random food wrapper. D tier: 'I'll just remember the page', closing the book and hoping for the best."

Writing advice: If you're stuck, the best thing to do is put it aside and go back to it cold. If you're still stuck, read it aloud. If you're still stuck, retype the whole freakin' section out again. The whole chapter if you need to, word for word. Your brain will nope out on the problem.

We all say "don't judge a book by its cover"...but we all do. Here are some great covers to take notes from when designing your own.👀
cover of to kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee that is illustrated by Haydn Symons. the picture explains why the cover is good, such as the oak tree is a symbol of Boo Radley and the hand-drawn lettering and brushstroke texture resemble childhood innocencecover of A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess illustrated by Kristian Hammerstad. Picture explains why the cover is good, such as the skeleton suggests the main character Alex is morally hollow and that the cover features mot recognizable symbols of the story - the bowler hat and the glass of milk.Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen illustrated by Anna Bond. the picture explains why the cover can be considered good, such as the cover bridges the gap between classic literature and modern lifestyle aesthetics, and the painted look of the cover is inspired by 18th-century wallpaper patterns and folk art

Much like her namesake, the mighty Brontosaurus, Emily Brontë towers over the canopy of the literary landscape. From her lofty vantage point in the canon, she peers into our minds, souls, and hearts, laying their contents bare on the page and leaving us forever changed. 📚💙 #emilybronte #amreading
A collage-style “starter pack” titled “emily is my favorite brontë” starter pack, representing fans of Emily Brontë and Wuthering Heights. It includes: Pinterest-style mood boards and collages featuring quotes and images from the novel; a photo labeled “rainy days are my favorite”; a book cover of Wuthering Heights; a teacup and saucer labeled “petrichor”; black combat boots; an open creative journal with plants; a camera with colorful film rolls; a green pin that reads “Half Savage & Hardy & Free”; a Kate Bush cassette tape; a quote card that reads “I have to remind myself to breathe – almost to remind my heart to beat!”; a pair of black headphones labeled “black cat energy”; and a silhouette of bare tree branches.
