Real bookmarks are here! Except they're called Saved Posts! But the icon is still a bookmark! Just ignore that bit! It doesn't look like the Bluesky API lets apps create bookmarks yet, so I can't build a converter to automatically transfer over your DM bookmarks yet... (1/4)

Good news! You can now delete bookmarks to remove them from your bookmarks feed. You'll need to go into your DMs with me, then long-press on the message (on mobile) or hover over it and click the 🙂 icon (on desktop) , then use the 😢 reaction. The bookmark will be removed from your feed instantly.

If you're in the UK, you now need to verify that you're an adult in order to send DMs, including to this account. This isn't in our control or a decision that Bluesky has made independently; they've been forced to do it by the Online Safety Act www.openrightsgroup.org/publications...

UK Online Safety Bill will mandate dangerous age verification for much of the web

Under new age verification rules in the UK’s massive Online Safety Bill, all internet platforms with UK users will have to stop minors from accessing ‘harmful’ content, as defined by the UK Parliament...

the new share menu might seem like a small update but it’s actually faster to bookmark posts with @bookmarkit.bsky.social now 👏👏

Oh hey! We've just passed 1000 users! And somehow crossed over and become big in Korea! (안녕하세요!) Thanks for trusting me with your bookmarks, I hope you're finding this account useful. I'm over at @matteason.me if you'd like to follow me (he said, reeking of desperation)

Happy Sunday! Thanks so much to everyone who's been sharing us. We're nearly at 1000 users. Why don't you give someone the gift of knowing how to bookmark stuff on Bluesky that, if we're being honest with ourselves, they'll probably never look at again.

The bookmarks feed will be down for about 30 minutes. You can still find your bookmarks in your DMs. Back soon!

Apologies, the bookmarks feed is currently down. You can still see your bookmarks in your chat history with me until it's restored later today.

If you're finding this account useful, please share it! Because your bookmarks with me are private, unlike the 📌 feed, it's harder for people to discover this way of bookmarking by chance

Sorry if you found that the bookmarks feed was down a few hours ago - it looks like it's recovered now. Don't forget you can always look in your DM conversation with me to see your bookmarks if there's an issue with the feed

You can now add a feed of your bookmarks to your home screen! Just go here and tap 'Pin to home': bsky.app/profile/book... The feed is still in testing, so if you spot any issues please let me know (@matteason.me)

I'm working on a Bookmarks feed, so you'll be able to see everything you've DMed me on a private feed on your home screen (next to the Following and Discover tabs). Watch this space 💫

Hello, I'm a way to save bookmarks until we get a real bookmarking feature. Just DM me a post by tapping the three dots on the bottom right and selecting 'Send via direct message'. Type my handle (@bookmarkit.bsky.social) to find me and send me the post. You can practice on this post if you like 🔖
