in my most kind moments, I think this kind of approach maybe comes from a mix of inaccessible healthcare / lack of connection to trans elders or peers post surgery / an expansion of transness beyond strict gender binaries, but just like... pushed really far into Whoops You Made It Weird Again

we're a team of two - we have full time jobs which aren't Ryne. We've created this game around work, volunteering, serious health issues, several house moves between us, one gender transition, a global pandemic, and All This in the world right now. Neither of us have been paid so far

This game has taken us, cumulatively, about 8 years. It wasn't always intended to be for release, but part way through writing it we thought "actually, this is quite special, isn't it" and made the unhinged choice to develop our first full size rulebook because it deserved a chance to be seen
