Could’ve it was away from its normal location from the day before in the dunes. I think I remember correctly with some Chaffanches in a small load of low bushes. Then it took off calling and flew high west.

A rather unexpected addition to the the local 2026 10km list today in the form of a Red crested Pochard! A female on a woodland pond near Pensford. Locally I have only seen this species at CVL. Woodcock was also added. Total now stands at 67.
