Wait ... was this just a silly bear plush kickstarter in disguise all along?

There are already four Oglaf books out there. A fifth one couldn't possibly make things any worse.

They're running a kickstarter! I've come to the conclusion that they are afraid of hitting their last stretch goal which is why they only mentioned it like once in passing here on launch day... www.kickstarter.com/projects/top...

I mean, I did read it when I got it of course, but I've had it for .... quite a while.

Right next to the Christmas trees?

Let the perfect later be the enemy of the good now, and then fake a lament when the perfect is unable to pass a divided legislature once in office... so sad.

That blue book definitely does not represent my complete Calvin and Hobbes box set ... nope >_>

gigaleak, or an attempt at historic preservation of soon-to-be-deleted materials?

Pissing directly into the political winds.

I (thrice) read that as "procedural spite art" ...

Heard NPR (or my local affiliate station?) commit microresistence on air recently by saying a hurricane was gaining strength in the Gulf of Mexico. Keep it up, and remember it's Lake Ontario too. Have a happy Indigenous Peoples' Day tomorrow.

Are you friends with @oglaf.bsky.social >_> They could learn from you about how to communicate on socials during a kickstarter, unless they're just really trying to avoid their last stretch goal...

Only the cartoon line... all the stuff for humans has to get UL certification. (please ignore that UL is a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME)

I thought Who was on First, making First be the one getting fluffed by Who?

Is this the Ghost in the Shell SAC episode where the government had been kidnapping autistic immigrant kids and jacking them into hacking gear?

000

This apparently vibe-coded site currently requires a password to even access the homepage.

000

You can place the camera at an accurate position and FOV for the eyes for a boring POV image, or you can have a disjointed camera above a headless first person and often weirdly foreshortened subject in order to have an aesthetically pleasing shot. take your pick?

100

Isn't that just filecoin with extra steps?

The problem is that they made a stochastic convincing-lie generator and marketed it as being a universal-truth generator.

000

now I'm looking for cues that indicate that this cute thing is actually the size of a mountain...

And a reminder to never ask chatgpt anything about your work if you want your own insights to remain your own?

Is that the same guy who ran this ad when it was about wrongfully accused black kids?

Trump's racists ad that ran in Newsday in 1989 calling for the execution of 5 black teens who were wrongfully accused of rape in NYC.

Maybe they're thinking of "Minnesota nice" where every string of kind words is a backhanded slap in the face?

100

Did they also break the record for number of suicide attempts during a deployment? Is that something we've been keeping track of?

Pretty sure just the original songs Albuquerque and Hardware Store could be massaged into a script for a 90 minute action-adventure-rom-com.

Oopsie, looks like that deadline was actually last month, sorry about ruining your future, tee-hee, I'm such a scamp.

Someone tried to explain Roko's basilisk to Trump but forgot to tell him that it's just a silly thought experiment?

Assuming bilateral symmetry (lol?) I count ~13 maws...

Looks like Franklin is allergic to showing people how much things cost? Enphase has some prices shown, but only for their oldest stuff? Why can't I just know how much a thing will cost without giving random corps my name/address/phone number/etc.

aw, what a cute little .... kaiju crab.

I like the idea of powerwall, but my next EV most likely won't be a Tesla unless they break up with spacex/x.com, disavow generative AI, and kick Musk out before my Model 3 turns to dust... so I'm not looking to pay a premium to stay withing an ecosystem.

That looks like cornbread with pizza stuff on top o.O
