psa to pixelartists on here if you upscale your pixels to 8x (and ensure the entire canvas is aligned on the 8x8 grid) they come out (moderately) normal looking. the jpegging on this site is ROUGH and this method is one of the few I've used that consistently makes pixel pieces look okay

really hoping the steam controller being a thing and seemingly being a huge success encourages more devs to support haptic feedback on PC games (without requiring you to plug in a dualsense). the motors themselves are fantastic but, like, you wouldn't know it from actually playing games.

Game developer tip #1: You must hire an experienced gamer who is older, reflexes, hand-eye, and patience impaired and GIVE THEM VETO power over your U/I design and implementation. If just making your game work or completing fights or puzzles drives this person to murder, that thing MUST be redone.
